Need help regarding Jazz installation on a AIX machine

vishnu kumar (66157) | asked Nov 06 '08, 10:26 a.m.
Hello Team,
I want to install and configure JAZZ server on AIX platform.Though officially there is no support and binaries available explicitly for AIX environment.but i have seen people using it on AIX too.

Will you please let me know which installables i need to install.

Is the one for linux would work fine on AIX ?

After installation what all changes i need to make for making it run full fledged manner.

Thanks in Advance.

If you want to use Jazz/RTC on AIX, the right approach is to download
the sever zip, extract it on the AIX machine, and replace the included
VM with a VM that will run on the AIX machine. Everything else should
stay the same.

I had to download the installation file onto a linux machine and install it there, and then zip up the installed code and copy it across to an aix box. I couldn't find a way to make it install directly onto an aix box.
After I copied it to the aix box, I had to change the following files so that they pointed so a valid JVM:

server.startup
server.shutdown
repotools.sh
