I'd like to perform a Find/Replace action in DOORS that will allow me to replace all instances of a specific placeholder character (like a tilde) with a tab. Is this possible? If so, what character in DOORS would represent the tab? Or is a DXL script the answer? FYI, I know I can import tabs into DOORS from .rtf but for my use I need to import from a .csv file and I don't think (am I wrong?) that I can embed something in .csv that will be read by DOORS as a tab. Re: find specific character and replace with a tab Hi,
The problem is putting a TAB character in the "Replace with:" box, right? What does work (although cumbersome...) is to paste a TAB character into the box. So, open Notepad or whatever text editor you prefer (or some DOORS window that will accept tabs), type a Tab character, copy it and paste it into the Find and Replace window. No DXL involved...
Hope that helps.
