So we just got word that about 20 or so modules are being modified for one reason or another. I was asked if it is possible to either search our project folder and get the link trace for a certain prefix that is being changed and if it is possible to change them all at once? I don't have much experience with link trace so im a little lost on this question. Anything helps, im currently scouring dxl forums looking for any information about it MrNiceGuy - Wed Dec 14 13:54:34 EST 2016 |
Re: Changing the Prefix of a link for modules and if this isn't possible, is it possible to at least get the link trace for what ever prefix we are being made to change so that we know what modules to go to instead of having to search through a few hundred modules |
Re: Changing the Prefix of a link for modules I think you're using terminology that isn't generally recognised, which is probably hindering your searches. A "prefix" is a module-based attribute, that becomes part of the identifier of an object in the module...if you want to change the prefix for all objects in a module, you change that one attribute. I think you need to be clear in explaining the scope of your changes. Is it an object? An object traced over a link? |
