I cant be create the .dxl file.Please help me for creating the dxl file.

To take back up the data i want to create the .dxl file. Please help me to create the same.

The usual method for exporting or importing Projects or Modules is to use the DOORS Archive & Restore or Partition & Rejoin features. These can be found under the DOORS Explorer "File" menu 

If you want to create backups or move (export) a Project or Modules from one database to another database, then use the Archive features to export to an external archive file, then restore that file into the other database.

If you want to send modules within a project to another database so that changes can be made and then return these changes (Rejoin) back to the original database, then use the Partition & Rejoin features.

You will need to spend some time learning how to use these features - use the Help menu in the DOORS Explorer.

I do not understand what you are trying to do. Do you want to export data from Lotus Notes to DOORS??

Also DXL is not a file type, DXL is the macro scripting language that is used to create customised functions for DOORS.

You are on the wrong forum methinks.

You are referring to Domino Extension Language (DXL) files, which are a Lotus Notes thing.

This forum is for DOORS Extension language, which is a Rational DOORS thing.
