Hi!
What I want to do is the following:
-
Create a new Baseline Set, where most modules are baselined anew, but for some modules we don't want a new baseline, but we need an older baseline to be a part of the baseline set. When we deliver our requirements to the system development team, we always don't want to deliver the current contents of a module but instaed an earlier, approved version (Baseline) of that particular requirements.
Looking in the DXL help I can't see a way to do this, but maybe I'm blind...
We are using Doors 8.3 if that is of any help.
Kind regards,

Re: Add an already existing Baseline of a Module to a new Baseline Set. rallen - Mon Nov 16 18:04:22 EST 2009
Did you ever find a solution to this?
I have a similar question, in that I have a baseline set defined with one of the DOORS modules already having a baseline that is contained in the set. I want to replace the baseline that is in the set with a newer baseline. I tried using the create a new baseline from within the module, but the baseline set that I wanted to add the new baseline to was not contained in the list.

I don't think this is possible without modifying server archive files. When you baseline using a baselineset, doors will do a different thing than baselining without a baseline set (e.g. Inlinks are archived differently). Therefore I would guess you cannot exchange a baseline in a baseline set with some other baseline.
Creating a new baseline set can be an option, if you did not work on any of the modules. If so you probably need to rollback the modified modules, baseline using a set, and then "rollforward" the modules again. This kind of messes up your module history, but at least you have a correct baseline set.
