Maximum number of attributes ?

Hello,

Is there a maximum number of attributes definitions for a given module ? Any known limitation ?

Best regards,

"There is no maximum limit set for the number of attributes that can be created in a DOORS Module.

There are practical constraints on how many attributes you define since a larger number of attributes
will require more resources to handle the increase.

Also the number of attributes you can create is far greater than the amount that can be displayed in the attributes definition window (this display limit is approximately 10000)."

Golly I had no idea it was that many.

I must say however that anybody architecting a module to have that many attributes may want to take a big step backwards and take a big long breath, and reconsider what they are doing. I'm just recently trying to talk these folks out of a DOORS report generating an Excel Spreadsheet of 480 columns, arguing that far too many for a human to comprehend and understand. (They want info on each outlinked partner in its own set of columns!)

The maximum number of attributes that can be displayed in a view is 32 for DOORS 9.x.
