permision denied error on Script folder

Hoping someone can help. I'm not a DOORS admin, but help support a DOORS server

We're getting permission denied errors on a shared DOORS script folder for 30 to 45 minutes and then it goes away (seems to happen weekly lately).... I can find nothing in the logs that might explain this.
I've been able to rule out backups, vulnerability scans, and snapshots.... is there anything within DOORS that might cause this? we did recently add Version 9.2 but believe this was happening less frequently prior to upgrading.

The most recent error reads:
DOORS report
Cannot library DXL file or Directory
Permission Denied
\\servername\share\addins\User\History\History.dxl

The DXL file changes every time though

Thanks for any help you can provide

I don't know, but I'm pretty good at guessing: perhaps the server is 'far away' and the DOORS has an internal time-out on responses.

See if the problem gets worse when that server is under strain.

Hello,

One of our user is having this problem and the server is not far in our case. I checked in the module and there are none dxl columns which could be calling the script. It is pointing to a user defined location on network.

Also I can not reproduce it on my system.

Regards
Jester

If you are getting this error when you open a module then I would presume that your "addins" variable points to that network location and this file therein exists with rights to "List Folder" but lacking "Read" rights. So when DOORS attempts to build the module addin menu it sees this dxl file but fails attempting to open it. If so, the server admins will need to provide universal "read" rights to your addins folder and all it's files.
