I have access to several (3-5) DOORS databases.
For a special evaluation I would like to get data from 2 or 3 of these DBs to excel starting from excel. My question is, is there a possibility to start DOORS from excel via vba automatisation with the relevant DB like in the commandline with the -d <port@host> parameter? Thank you for your support! Kind regards Matthias Maisch Hi It depents what you are understanding unter "other possibilities". Doors reads those parameter from the comandline of from some registry keys. You can change those keys by using some APIs for the registry. But in this case you need to have local administrator priviledges. So If you want to avoid this priviledge problem you have to use the commandline. Of course, you can use a wscript or cscript instead of a batch file them. But all of them is an encapsulated batch file. Best reagards Wolfgang |

Kind regards Matthias Maisch Hi Ok, you can use "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Telelogic\DOORS\9.5\Config" instead of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\DOORS\9.5\Config" and there your user priviledges are sufficient (https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/html/topic?id=d43c725f-bd74-4c1a-88d5-51fdf8eed0b9&ps=25).
