Download Rational Team Concert

If you haven't already, download the Web Installer for Rational Team Concert. For other download options, including local (offline) installers, go to the All Downloads tab.

Plan your deployment or trial

Are you doing a basic evaluation?

To get started quickly with a small deployment using the default topology (Tomcat and Derby), skip to the next step to install Rational Team Concert. Derby deployments are limited to 10 users.

Are you setting up a production or enterprise deployment?

If you want to deploy into a production-ready environment with WebSphere1 and DB21, follow these steps first:

  1. Review the release notes and system requirements.
  2. Read the Planning the installation section in the 3.0 infocenter.
  3. Download and install DB2 and WebSphere before installing Rational Team Concert.

Are you upgrading?

If you are upgrading from a previous version, see Upgrading from the previous release in the 3.0 infocenter.

Install Rational Team Concert

  1. Use the Interactive Installation Guide to create custom instructions for your environment.
  2. Unzip the Web Installer, and run the launchpad following the instructions you created with the interactive installation guide.

Kicking the tires? In the Interactive Installation Guide, choose the Evaluation topology and indicate that you will be using Tomcat and Derby.

Set up the server

After installation, follow the Jazz Team Server setup wizard at http://example.com/jts/setup (where example.com is the domain for your server).
