Install optional programs to support advanced deployments. These programs should be installed and configured before installing the Jazz Team Server and Change and Configuration Management, Quality Management and Requirements Management applications. Consult the system requirements to ensure you have installed all the required fixpacks or service packs for these programs.

| IBM DB2 | DB2 downloads | Jazz Team Server and/or CCM, QM and RM applications support IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition. For platforms that don't support Enterprise Server Edition (32-bit Linux), IBM DB2 Workgroup Server Edition may be used. You can obtain a trial download of one these DB2 editions or the free DB2 Express-C for deployments of twenty-five developers or less. Trial downloads of DB2 may not be available for all platforms but should otherwise provide all functions necessary to evaluate Rational Quality Manager. Each purchased client license for Rational Quality Manager includes a license to run one instance of DB2 Workgroup or Enterprise Edition (excludes z/OS) in support of Rational Quality Manager. Each purchased client license for Rational Quality Manager includes a license to run one instance of WebSphere Application Server in support of Rational Quality Manager. Express editions of WebSphere Application Server V7.0 and V8.0 are also available for IBM i at no additional charge by ordering the Web Enablement for IBM i. manual test script recorder feature. This feature can be used to automatically capture steps in a manual script to test standard web and Java applications. Install Rational Functional Tester 8.2.2 only if the manual test script recorder feature is intended to be used. To use the manual test script recorder feature, first install Rational Functional Tester 8.2.2 on the workstation where the test application interface can be opened in a browser, and the steps for the script can be recorded. Next, configure the Rational Functional Tester adapter for Rational Quality Manager. |
