Rational Quality Manager 3.0 M5 - Release Notes
The following notes provide the installation process for Rational Quality Manager 3.0 M5 release and describe issues that users and consumers of RQM should be aware of.
System requirements
For information about hardware and software requirements, review the user privilege requirements and the software and hardware requirements detailed in the System Requirements page on the Rational Quality Manager product site.
Installing Rational Quality Manager v3.0 M5
To install Rational Quality Manager 3.0 M5, including the Rational Test Lab Manager component, follow these steps:
- Create a working directory to extract the RQM 3.0 M5 ZIP file.
- Windows example: c:\RQM
- Linux example: /opt/IBM/RQM
- Copy the ZIP file to the working directory and extract it. The RQM30 subdirectory is created.
- Change the directory to the RQM30\server directory.
- Start Rational Quality Manager using the server_startup script.
- Once Rational Quality Manager starts, point a browser to https://host:9443/rqm/setup, and run the setup wizard.
NOTE: The setup wizard for Rational Quality Manager 3.0 M5 does not create the initial Quality Manager project area. Follow these steps to create the project area manually after running the setup wizard:
- Point a browser to https://host:9443/rqm/admin, and log on as a JazzAdmin user.
- Click Project Area Management.
- Click Create Project Area.
- Type the name "Quality Manager" for the project area.
- Click Deploy predefined process templates.
- Select the Quality Manager Default Process.
- Add your project area members and administrators, and then save your changes.
