Support for CLM v6.0

Data Collection Component

The Data Collection Component is an alternative to the Rational Insight ETL. Designed to address key performance, and deployment concerns with the current ETL solutions, it is a solution that employs parallel processing and optimizes system resource utilization by utilizing efficiently available system resources to process the data. This in return results in a reduced overall execution time for the ETL process for CLM data, whether there is a single instance, or multiple instances to process.

Report Builder

TThe Report Builder is a new capability of Jazz Reporting Service that provides some useful out of the box reports for software lifecycle management. The service is easy to set up and provides integration with the CLM dashboards through the widget catalog. In the widget catalog there are 21 out of the box reports that cross cut areas of testing, requirements management and change management. Some reports display a table of information and others display the information in a chart format best suited for the data being displayed.

Cognos Business Intelligence

Rational Insight 1.1.1.7 is based on Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence 6.0. Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence 6.0 is now based on Cognos version 10.2.1 fixpack 2 interim fix 6.

Data dictionary documentation improvements

Data dictionaries help show how elements in the data model and in the REST API map to artifacts in CLM. The data dictionaries are improved with the following enhancements:

• Data dictionaries are now split into one artifact table per page (for example Iteration in Rational Team Concert) instead of one long page which was difficult to navigate.
• Search field for each table with typeahead capability
• Fixed row and column headings in each table to minimize scrolling
• Each artifact type listed in the help table of contents
• Summary page of what's changed in the data dictionaries from one release to the next
