Rational Asset Manager 7.5.0.1

Rational Asset Manager 7.5.0.1 New & Noteworthy
The following features are a few of the more noteworthy items that are new in IBM® Rational® Asset Manager version 7.5.0.1. For a full list of work items delivered in the fixpack, see the work items associated with these Plan Items:-
- 40424: Integration with Insight Reporting
- 40423: Integration with RTC 3.0
- 40422: v7.5.0.1 Usability improvements
Administration
Multiple Licensing Servers
Support for multiple licensing servers on different subnetworks enables an Idle Standby failover strategy for high availability.
Import and Export of Category Schema Definitions
Administrators can import and export category schema definition files in XML and JSON formats. An exported category schema file can be edited with any XML or text editor and imported back into the repository.
Restrict Relationships
Administrators can configure asset types to restrict which relationships can be used.

Data Warehousing with Rational Insight
The data warehouse enables query optimization through data marts (STAR schemas), cross-product reporting, and historical trends. IBM® Rational® Insight uses the extract, transform, and load (ETL) process to extract data from the Rational Asset Manager by using an ODBC XDC driver.

Rational Insight for Reporting on Work Items Associated with Assets
By using the data warehouse reporting capability in Rational Insight, users can run reports on work items associated with an asset. For example, you might right a report to find all assets in a specific community that are associated to open and high priority enhancements.

Lifecycle Configuration
Rational Build Forge Policy
The Rational Build Forge policy launches automation projects in IBM® Rational® Build Forge®. Example uses include launching build processes and deploying applications.

Policy for Configuring Collaborators
The new Modify Reviewers from a Group policy can add a user group as a collaborator based on the value of an asset attribute. The value of the attribute must be the name of the user group.

The Modify Reviewer Policy can now be used to configure email and edit settings for collaborators, in addition to adding review collaborators.

Email Collaborators
Administrators and lifecycle managers can add the Send Email policy to states to email all collaborators, reviewers with outstanding reviews, asset owners, and others. The policy is useful for reminding reviewers to submit their review for the asset.

Copy Attribute Policy
The value for the attribute of an asset must often match the value of an attribute of a related asset. For example, the Product Manager of a Release asset might be the Business Owner for a Document of Understanding asset. The Copy Attribute policy sets the value of an asset attribute to the value of a related asset. The attributes must be of the same type, such as text, user, or link.

Eclipse Client Support for Rational Team Concert 3.0
The Rational Asset Manager Eclipse client supports IBM® Rational® Team Concert™ 3.0.
Stability and Performance Improvements
Submitting and updating assets from the Eclipse client is more stable and the performance of the linked artifact builder is improved.
Miscellaneous Enhancements
Expanded Search Filters
You can click View more under the search filter groups to expand the filter section and search for filters.

Additions to Featured Content
This fixpack includes changes to which artifacts the application chooses to feature. The application can now automatically feature files with these file extensions: .pdf, .htm, .html, .gif, .jpg, or .png. Users who have permission to modify the asset can still change its featured content.
