Design Management 5.0.2 Optional Programs

You can install optional programs to support specific deployments. Install and configure these programs before you install the Jazz Team Server and Design Management capabilities. To ensure that you installed all the required fix packs or service packs for these programs, see the system requirements.

IBM® Rational® Software Architect	Trial download	IBM Rational Software Architect is a comprehensive application design, modeling, and development tool for end-to-end software delivery. The Rational Software Architect Extension for Design Management provides design editing capabilities that you can use with the Design Management Server. The Rational Software Architect Extension for Design Management installs into Rational Software Architect. You can connect Rational Software Architect with the Design Management Server to edit, search, view, collaborate on, and link designs.
IBM Rational Rhapsody	Trial download	The IBM Rational Rhapsody family provides multiple editions to help systems engineers and embedded software developers analyze, design, develop, test, and deliver embedded, real-time systems and software. The Rational Rhapsody Extension for Design Management provides design editing capabilities that you can use with the Design Management Server. The Rational Rhapsody Extension for Design Management installs into Rational Rhapsody. You can connect Rational Rhapsody to the Design Management Server to edit, search, view, collaborate on, and link designs. You can use Rational Rhapsody to integrate MathWorks Simulink models into Rational Rhapsody designs. For details about the integration, see the online help. IBM DB2®	DB2 downloads	The Jazz Team Server and Design Management capabilities support IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition. For platforms that do not support DB2 Enterprise Server Edition (32-bit Linux), you can use DB2 Workgroup Server Edition. You can obtain a trial download of one these DB2 editions, or the free DB2 Express-C, for deployments of 25 users or less. Trial downloads of DB2 might not be available for all platforms, but should otherwise provide all functions necessary to evaluate Design Management. Each purchased client license for Design Management includes a license to run one instance of DB2 Workgroup or Enterprise Edition to support the Design Management Server. IBM WebSphere® Application Server	WebSphere Application Server downloads	IBM WebSphere Application Server can host the Jazz Team Server and the Design Management capabilities. You can obtain a trial download of WebSphere Application Server. Trial downloads might not be available for all platforms, but should otherwise provide all functions necessary to evaluate Design Management. Each purchased client license for Design Management includes a license to run one instance of WebSphere Application Server to support the Design Management Server. IBM Rational License Server	Available to purchasers of Jazz token licenses	Rational License Server can serve token license keys for a Jazz Team Server. The license server is built with FLEXlm, a third-party component that is developed by Flexera. This program is available to purchasers of Jazz token licenses.
