Install optional programs to support advanced deployments. You should install and configure these programs before you install any server applications. To ensure that you installed all the required fix packs or service packs for these programs, see the system requirements.

| IBM® DB2® | DB2 downloads | Jazz Team Server and the Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Quality Management (QM), and Requirements Management (RM) applications support both IBM DB2 Enterprise Server Edition and IBM DB2 Workgroup Server Edition (for 32-bit Linux platforms). For evaluation purposes, you can download a trial version of IBM DB2 at no cost for deployments up to 25 developers. Each purchased client license for Collaborative Lifecycle Management includes a license for one instance of IBM DB2 Workgroup Server Edition. For usage restrictions, see the license agreement. |
| IBM WebSphere® Application Server | WebSphere Application Server downloads | IBM WebSphere Application Server can host Jazz Team Server and CCM, QM, and RM applications. You can obtain a trial download of WebSphere Application Server. Trial downloads might not be available for all platforms, but should otherwise provide all functions necessary to evaluate Collaborative Lifecycle Management. Each purchased client license for Collaborative Lifecycle Management includes a license to run one instance of WebSphere Application Server to support Collaborative Lifecycle Management. | IBM IoT MessageSight | IBM MessageSight downloads | IBM MessageSight is included as a Supporting Program and can only be used in support of the IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management Principal Program. IBM MessageSight is a high-performance MQTT broker used in the optional RTC 6.0.4 clustering configuration. More generally (when IBM MessageSight is purchased separately), you can enable large-scale messaging for machine-to-machine and mobile communication even when the number of connected devices and sensors multiply quickly. |
