Collaborative Lifecycle Management 6.0.1
Upgrading to Collaborative Lifecycle Management 6.0.1
Before you upgradeFor a list of changes to the CLM 6.0.1 installation and upgrade process, see CLM 6.0.1 Installation and Upgrade Notes.
If you plan to upgrade to this release, be aware of the following issues:
- You can upgrade to this release from any version 5 or 6 release.
- If the CLM applications to upgrade are co-located in the same WebSphere Application Server profile or on Apache Tomcat, you must upgrade all the applications at the same time.
- The 6.0 documentation for setting up the Link Index Provider and Lifecycle Query Engine included an incorrect custom property value for WebSphere Applicaton Server deployments. This value should be corrected before upgrading from version 6.0 to 6.0.1. These are the correct values:
- If you install the Lifecycle Query Engine application:
Name: lqe.config.location
Value: file:///JazzInstallDir/server/conf/lqe - If you install the Link Index Provider application:
Name: ldx.config.location
Value: file:///JazzInstallDir/server/conf/ldx
For more information, see Work Item 366578, Work Item 366462, and Work Item 374896. - If you install the Lifecycle Query Engine application:
If you are upgrading any of the Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Quality Management (QM), and Requirements Management (RM) applications from version 5.0 and later, see Upgrading to version 6.0.1. If you are upgrading from a version 4 release, first upgrade to a version 5 release, preferably the latest 5.0.x release. For more information, see Upgrading from version 4 to the current version.
If you upgrade from version 5.0.2 to 6.0.1 an error might occur in the diagnostics for the QM application regarding the text live index. To resolve the error, restart the QM application. For more information see Work Item 142430.
