IBM Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence is used to customize reports using Cognos Business Intelligence. This build of Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence should be used with Rational Team Concert 5.0.2 M1, Rational Quality Manager 5.0.2 M1 or Rational Requirements Composer 5.0.2 M1.

These downloads contain the IBM Installation Manager and a launchpad which is configured to pull the product-specific installation bits from jazz.net. Simply unzip the download, run launchpad.exe (windows) or launchpad.sh (unix), and click the launchpad links to run the Installation Manager for each product you need to install. See the next section if you need to perform an Installation Manager product install in an environment where you cannot establish a network connection to jazz.net.

Web Installer can only be used to do a new installation of Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence. To upgrade to RRDI 5.0.2, you must download and use an Installation Manager repository.

Download the Installation Manager repository to install without requiring a network connection to jazz.net. You may also need to use this approach if your network has a firewall that requires authentication. To use the repository, you will need Installation Manager 1.7.3 or later. Installation tip: The installation fails on Windows if the Installation Manager Repository is in a directory whose path name is longer than 100 characters. Make sure to extract the .zip archive to a directory that has a shorter path name before you begin.

Download tip: Due to these large file sizes, we highly recommend that you use a download manager to work around a download size limitation on some web browsers (typically 2 GB maximum) and to improve the download performance.

Unzip tip: On Linux and Windows, the default unzip utility included with the OS (Extract All on Windows) may not properly unzip a file whose size is more than 4 GB (even just 2 GB in some cases). We recommend that you use an external unzip utility like 7zip.
