Copy/Paste from MS Word to DOORS

Does anyone know why the copy/paste from MS Word to DOORS would stop working? Our database sits on a server that we login to and I am wondering if this is something that is cut on/off by them?

Hi,

I have met this issue a couple of times. I suspected a memory issue (too many applications open at a time) but never found the true reason. I changed my PC so I can't redo the tests...
Try to close applications / kill some processes to see if there is a change.

I would suggest that copy and paste from word should be discouraged. While copy and paste works it a lot of cases you get a little extra which shouldn't be encouraged.

Copy-paste is a client thing and I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with features of the DOORS server.

Copy-paste fails when there is some other application using the clipboard, such as a module export in another DOORS client on your PC.

I'm guessing the thing you are copying has changed and you don't notice it.

You may want to say exactly what you are copying, where you are pasting, and what the "failure" is.
