DOORS Shareable edit and DOORS Web Access glitch

We were in DOORS shareable edit and in edit mode in Web Access. The person in Web access kept crashing and now the module is locked (5 times by that user). The Web access user finally got the client installed, and it shows that they are in shareable mode. When they try to unlock, they get an error message, "Unlocking an item that is being used may cause a database corruption. Do you want to continue?"
I am not a "computer" person, I have taught myself DOORS. My gut feeling is that if no one else is using the shared module (or even in DOORS) and they unlock it, all will be fine, but I do not know. Has anyone experienced this or provide help? Thanks so much!

Yes its safe to override the lock when you are SURE nobody is currently using it.

As far as I can tell its also "safe" to do so even if they are, but they will not be able to save their changes. I suspect you'd get corruption if they were in the middle of a save when you override their lock and open the module yourself, so its safer to make sure they are out.

If you install the doors server on your client (even if you have no database) you can use this file to see who is and who is not currently logged in, and can either request they exit DOORS or rudely abort them; THEN override their locks.

You can so copy that file from the doors server to your client.

Louie,
Thank you so much, you made my day. The override worked and you saved me a ton of work!

I have DOORS on my client (I am a user also), but not the file you provided. Its on the server and y IT guy was able to look at it for me and let me know who was there!
I am much obliged!
