Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum as i've been introduced to Doors lately and now have to use it for my job.
I have a problem, and don't have the knowledge or training to solve it.
Basically I have 2 modules A and B which both have their main objects and then several custom attribute columns.
Some objects in module A are outlinked to some objects in module B.
I would like to display information in module A of an attribute column located in B. Using the analysis wizard tool, I can only display in A, info from the main objects in B but not their related columns.
Is there a possibility to do this? And if so, i could i carry it out?
Thanks in advance
Emmanuel

Bonjour,
You cannot have access to a "Layout DXL" column (if this is what you want to display). You can only retrieve attribute values from the linked objects.
Therefore you first have to convert you layout DXL column to a DXL Attrribute (Tools / Support Tools / Convert...) and then you will be able to see the attribute in the wizzard.

The issue here is that you must select the following on the 1st screen:
Select Formal Module = Specific
Unless you select a specific module, in this case you would want to Browse to module B, DOORS will only allow you pick from DOORS defined attributes to show as it can't know for sure that the attributes will exist in all the modules. When you select module B specifically and continue with the rest of the steps you will see that the pick list of attributes will be all the object level attributes in module B which is what I think you are asking.

Spot on, thanks for the swift reply, this is exatly what i wanted to achieve. I tried this morning by specifying the module but didnt see, somehow, the attribute i wanted. It works fine now.
Merci Alain, this is not what i wanted but this is a good tip too which is likely to be needed in the near future.
