change of the URL for a DOORS 9.x database

we would like to change the following value

Locked in as Administrator - right click on the database folder, Properties, General
the value in the textbox after the URL

URL: HTTP://servername:portnumber/doors/redirector/?version...........

how can that be changed to a different value?

That URL is composed of items which you have configured for DOORS & DWA. So if you change the configuration (e.g. DWA port) then the URL will change.

But why?

you are asking 'why' we would like to change this, well, we have transferred the installation of both products and DOORS still has the old URL contained within this string. So we thought there might be an easy way to change this.

I have to correct my statements here - sorry.
I found out that we do NOT have both products moved to the new server - so we do NOT
have DWA installed.

Is there still a way to get rid off, or change, the URL as we would like?

The URL is taken from DWA configuration, see published.url.prefix in this Help page.

You can change that URL (maybe) without installing DWA by running dbadmin as described in Configuring the Rational DOORS database server.

Note that without DWA the correct protocol for DOORS is "doors", not "http". Actually do not know how tou can return to "doors://" type URLs - maybe you should contact DOORS support?
