It is probably due to the amount of data that's being exported, resulting in excessive memory consumption.

Try exporting the module to CSV instead.

What's the version of DOORS Client you are using?
DOORS being a 32-bit application can consume atmost 2 GB. Most likely you are hitting on this limit.
If you are using version 9.5.1, it can consume upto 3 GB on 64-bit OS, since it has largeaddressaware switch enabled. So this is something you may want to try.
If you cannot use v9.5.1 or later, you can try splitting the module data to be exported using views (view 1 containing first half of the objects and view 2 containing the next half objects). Export these views and then combine the spreadsheet to make it one file.

Hope that helps. If not, I'd recommend opening a PMR with IBM Support.
