Doors Web Access

I am having a bit of a problem.  I just recently upgraded to Doors 9.6.1.6.  I have everything running accept for Doors Web Access.  It looks like I got everything set right, but when I bring up the web page I get "The web page cannot be found" error.  I have looked at the Festival.xml file and that looks good.  Not sure what I am missing but I am missing something.  Does anyone know what the problem could be.  Every time I upgrade Rational Doors, Web Access gives me fits.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Error "The web page cannot be found" indicates some problem with tomcat startup itself. Check in the tomcat logs for errors (DWAHOME\server\logs) for any indications on errors/failures.

Start by checking that you can access the DWA on the server itself, can you start up the DWA login page by browsing on server to 1.) localhost or 2.) the fully formed domain name of the DWA server. Check also that you are using the correct port when accessing DWA.

I do not see any errors in the tomcat logs.  I cannot access the DWA on the server itself, I tried both the local host and the fully domain name of the DWA server.  I saw somewhere that I need to be sure I have a compatible interoperation server and DWA.  I am not sure how to check what version of either I have.  Can one of you help me with that?

After playing with DWA and JAVA I got it to work.  I also had to reset DWA.  So it is working now.

Don't you love how DOORS increases your diagnostics skills.  -- You got to love it.

Tell me about it.  It is always an adventure to upgrade the Rational Products we have.  Now onto SA.

OK one more issue.  I thought I had upgraded DWA after I had upgraded Doors and I had not.  I am now attempting to install DWA 9.6.1.4 and guess what, I cannot get the program to run.  When I click on the install program if flashes the DOS screen and does nothing.  I have looked up the issues and I have everything set correctly.  It says hat I need an older version of Java as the newer one is not supported.  It still will not install.  Does anyone know what I need to do to get the thing to install.  I am so sick of things fighting me...

Got it.  The install program seems to have issues with the newer version. I had IBM help me though with installing it manually.  So everything is fine.

Thanks for the help and assistance.... have a good day.
