DOORS link arrows are not displaying correctly

We have several linked objects in our project. I see all the in-link and out-link arrows displayed, no problem. However, some co-workers only see the out-link arrows, while others do not see either in-link or out-link arrows. Everyone has the "show link arrows" option checked. Sometimes following the out-link on the source module causes the in-link arrow to display on the target module. I am the Admin for the project, but everyone else only has RMC access to the formal and link modules. What could be going on?

I experienced the ("co-workers do not see either in-link or out-link arrows"). This is because you have not given these users ( or group) read access to the Link Module or link modules that these Formal modules use.

Once you correct the access rights to the Link module- everything should work just fine,

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

The group has RMC rights to the link module... so that they can create links.

They can see the out-links... so, why not the in-links?

Maybe because of the access rights of the objects that are coming into the document are at a different level?

If you post and example of the issue i could take a look at it .

DOORS by-design,  let users see what they have permissions to see -- if users does not have permission that let users see  link info -- the users can not see the info -- but sometimes the user can detect that a link exists by what the user can or can not do.  (this often leaves a user confused and blaming their problems on DOORS when their problem lies on their permissions.)

Have you tried opening a PMR with DOORS Support? They have a Link Repair Utility which might help you out.

What version of the DOORS client are your users using?
