DOORs external Link to MS Word Heading

Hello all,
i have a problem with external links from DOORs 9.3 to Microsoft Word 2010.
I'm trying to link directly to the heading in a word document. So if I click on the external link in DOORs the application MS Word opens and jumps to the right heading. The cursor should be placed on the heading.

It should be similary to hyperlinks between word documents. There I can set hyperlinks with the url <url>#<heading> or <url>#<bookmark>.
If I try the same thing in DOORs the document opens but stays at the first line.

I am greatful for every help.

Sincerely,
IceBreaker
PS: Sorry for my poor english, it's not my native language.

That is not how the vendor designed external links

I think you are making a rod for your own back here.

You could potentially get the internal addresses/references ffom the document able of Contents, and add them to the DOORS URL information.

Problem is Word is notorious for changing/losing those links if you amend the document in any way.

I suggest the pain and effort of maintaining that information just going to the Word document and use Table of Contents to navigate to the wanted section.

But then why are you doing that, DOORS should be the master reference, the Word document should be just for sharing static information.

Hello Bob..

Do you have any Idea how to link DOORS requirements/Modules to some external PDF. We can not import PDF files in DOORS directly.

So some times we may need to refer external PDF files from DOORS.
