I have questions about the Test Tracking tool within DOORS. |
Re: DOORS Test Tracking Unfortunately, the answer to all your questions is almost certainly no. All these things are pre-determined in the encrypted DXL and cannot be configured by the user. Someone who uses T3 may be able to give some pointers. |
Re: DOORS Test Tracking Tony_Goodman - Thu Apr 02 03:16:56 EDT 2009 A client of mine currently wants one module per test case. I, being a prudent DOORS Admin, want to group the test cases into fewer managable modules, either by component (UI Test Cases, Hardware Test Cases) or some other grouping factor. Now the problem is baselining and shareable in T3. Only one TC can be run at a time and it'd be great to baseline before and after a run. My proposal is to have a "status" attribute, but I am not sure this will work for my client. I think DOORS just isn't a great testing tool and there are better testing tools out there. If you go with a simple MS Access database, you gain many advantages over DOORS. But if there's a way to use DOORS efficiently, and someone has it, speak up. :) |
Re: DOORS Test Tracking 1. Corrected in version 9.1 2. Date can be defaulted in version 9.1 but not Tester. I submitted it to be considered as a future enhancement. 3. Date format is derived from the Users Windows Regional Settings. I changed the format on my pc and it worked. I submitted that they consider making it a setting within DOORS as a future enhancement. 4. The Test Run Results form is not currently adjustable. I submitted it to be considered as a future enhancement. 5. Currently have to always select apply. I submitted it to be considered as a future enhancement. |
