Java used to be part of the DOORS install files. Without it the Help Files don't work and also the DOORS Module>File>Export>Document Generation>Export menu option does not work. DOORS 9.6.1.7 Fix Pack page says: To install Rational DOORS Web Access 9.6.1.7, you must first install the JRE version 8, which can be obtained from IBM. The JRE for Windows is available on IBM developerWorks as part of the IBM Development Package for Eclipse. So I downloaded it and then try to install it. Looking through the IBM knowledge centre there is a link: Installing and configuring the SDK and Runtime Environment The link states: The IBM® SDK, Java™ Technology Edition, Version 8, for all supported Windows architectures is available only as part of an IBM product. For more information about obtaining, installing and performing initial configuration of the IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition, Version 8, for all supported Windows architectures, please contact your IBM support representative. There isn't an obvious setup file or disktag.inf file. The install file is for Eclipse. We just want the install file provided to install Java and prevent the errors. We don't have Java as part of our SOE. We also will need to package the file. I know about setting the Java_Home Variable. Anyone know what we are supposed to do with this file and how it installs Java: IBM_DevelopmentPackage_for_Eclipse_Win_X86_64_6.4.10.zip
