Using DOORS 7.1, I am attempting to copy an OLE (an excel spreadsheet) into the Object Text and am getting the following message:-
"Object cannot be inserted"
This same OLE has been copied many times in the past, albeit not into this particular module.
I have RMCDA access to the module in question and the spreadsheet is not locked by me or anyone else.
Any suggestions as to why this won't work ?

Please ignore this thread, double posted above.
Is it just me or are the IBM forums just not as user-friendly as the old Telelogic ones?
Or am I not allowed to say that :-)

Is the "Object cannot be inserted" message coming from DOORS at all? I did a search of the DOORS binary (admittedly 8.3 version) and did not find this error message. Maybe it is coming from Windows OLE handler or Excel and it is more related to the Excel file in question than DOORS.

Well, it is a different forum software and different world.
This IBM forum has couple of point going for it though:
-
the forum is open to everyone, not anymore a closed community as the Telelogic forums were
-
and the above also means that Google can index these forums and you can use Google to search here

Apologies for the delay in replying, it appears I do not automatically watch my own threads.
As the Excel file is unchanged and has been inserted into many other modules, I assumed that the problem was with this particular DOORS module.
If it isn't I'm at a loss to know what is wrong or how to proceed further to try and resolve it.
