Doors 9.2 DWA 1.2 - both installed on server named doors92
I configured the Doors Redirector as listed below per Chapter 5 of the "Installing and Configuring DOORS Web Access 1.2" manual on pages 12&13 under the heading "Understanding the Doors Redirector Service: Configuring the Redirector Service".
Configuration steps I performed:
Doors Redirector Service configuration: (this allows urls to be used to go directly to projects, folders and modules)
edit c:\ratlDOORS_WebAccess_1-2-0\server\festival\config\doorsRedirector.properties
change doors.url.prefix to doors://doors92:36677/
change dwa.url.prefix to http://doors92:8080/dwa/
edit c:\ratlDOORS_WebAccess_1-2-0\server\festival\config\festival.xml
on <f:property name="published.url.prefix" line change MYHOSTNAME to doors92
cd c:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\bin
run dbadmin -data 36677@doors92 -urlPrefix http://doors92:8080/doors/redirector
restart all DWA components
After configuration, I went into the regular DOORS 9.2 client, right-clicked on a test module, selected properties, clicked on "Copy URL" button next to the URL field. Pasting this URL into an Internet Explorer browser, I get the following screen (see attachement), but clicking on either item, gets no response. I'd like the "Open In DOORS Web Access" to work so that I can go directly to a specific module via a url. Any suggestions?

Using Firefox, I was able to copy the DOORS url, enter into the Firefox address line, and display the DOORS module directly. After consulting a DOORS expert, I learned it was the Windows Server 2003 operating system, not Internet Explorer version 6, that did not work. When using Internet Explorer v6 from Windows XP, the DOORS url displayed as expected when pasted into either the Firefox or IE address line.
