how to create a DOORS Data Directory and how to set it in the repository.

Huh? You asking how to deal with Windows folders when you setting up a DOORS database for the first time?

You should create an empty folder on the DOORS server in a reasonable place. Lots of folks create this folder:

c:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\data\

which is 'inside' the install directory. I dislike that a lot, but create it somewhere else:

c:\Doors-Data\v92-data\

When you install the DOORS server software, you specify the 'port' to use (default 36677) and the directory of the database, as above.

Be sure the folder is empty if its a new database. When upgrading, this folder will house an identical copy of the previous version's directory.
