Some requirements cut off when printing a baseline to PDF in table format

I am working in DOORS 8.1.0.0. I have a baselined document that I am printing to PDF in table format. I notice that several sentences get cut off randomly when I am viewing the PDF. In the DOORS baseline document they take up one line and are not cut off. In the PDF the last few words get cut off. It seems to be random because there are many other lines that go right to the edge of the column and don't get cut off.

I have tried to fix this in the baseline by making that column wider and it fixes the problem at hand, but it then causes that same cutting off problem to happen with some other lines.

If it wasn't a baseline I could just hit enter in places where I see it happening and put those cut off words on the next line, but it's a baseline now so there's no going back.

I would really appreciate any help/insight people can give me.

Thanks!
Lisa

I take it you are printing directly from DOORS.

I think printing from DOORS is a joke.

Print to Word or RTF in Table format, and then PDF the result. That should work for you.

Thank you for your advice. Yes, I can easily export to MS Word and print that way. However, I need the signature information to be printed with the document. This document is a published document that will go into document control. I don't know of a way to export to Word with the signature information.

I don't do a lot of printing from DOORS, but I take it you're saying that e-signatures from the baseline get printed when you print from DOORS.

You have a few of options:

1. Upon export from DOORS to Word, manually type the esignature info onto the cover page of the document, then PDF it.

2. Update the Word export DXL to include this information on a page somewhere.

3. Export your PDF from DOORS. Export your Word document from DOORS. Convert the Word document to PDF. Take the signatures page from the DOORS PDF and put it into the Word PDF. This requires extra tools on Windows, but if you've got a Mac nearby it's super easy to do on it.

Granted, you shouldn't have to jump through these types of hoops to get DOORS features working properly. Welcome to the world of DOORS, my friend.
