Cannot Edit - Change value of the prefix attributes !!

Why can't we change the attribute Prefix value once a module is created ?

You can change the value if you open the module in Exclusive Edit and edit via Module Properties. If you can't do that, check what Access retrictions might be applied (Edit, Attribute, select Prefix, Edit, check the Access tabs).

You can't edit the definition of the Prefix attribute itself (Edit, Attribute), but that's presumably because it is a System Attribute.

Some cautionary advice - as the post from Craig_Cordrey advises, DOORS will let you change the unique ID (UID) prefix but if you have already printed and released hard copy versions of your specs to various stakeholders, particularly Testers, it is only going to cause mass confusion if you change the UID prefix as these stakeholders may have already quoted some of these UID's from past releases of specs in other documentation that they use.
