You can get this at the same location as the software downloads - it is called the Example Database.

Sammyc, could you provide a path or a link? I've been searching the site for over an hour and haven't been able to track it down!
Cheers,
Anthony

What DOORS version? For older versions you can find the example database in Telelogic DOORS product legacy downloads. If I remember correctly this site had the example database only for version 9.0.
For later IBM versions you have to download the version specific example database (with server) from the central IBM Download site (Passport Advantage) for which you have to have ongoing support (paid maintenance) https://www-112.ibm.com/software/howtobuy/passportadvantage/paocustomer/passporthome.nsf/pao/startpage_en_us?OpenDocument . You have to login with your IBM account and that account shall also have linked Site Number etc. Even if you clear that hurdle the download site is not so customer friendly ... if they make a movie of it the name of the movie will probably be "Downloads from Hell".
So...for some reason IBM wants it customer's life to be as complicated as possible. At least for DOORS customers, maybe it would be better to be a Notes customer and just use http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/downloads/ to download your application.

You can download this very simply at the Rational Download Center - you may have to register for access but anyone can get software here for eval purposes - and the Example database is here as well for production use:
https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?source=rational
Go to the Downloads for evaluations section and scroll down and look for this text:
IBM Rational DOORS V9.2.0 Multiplatform Multilingual eAssembly
You will see it for 9.2 and 9.3 - choose the eAssembly you need - or tell me if you need something previous to this.
Check the bubble and agree to the license terms check box.
Choose this text:
IBM Rational DOORS Example Database V9.2.0 for Windows English
You can use the HTTP download option if you like or the IBM Download Director plugin.
Let me know how else to help you!

No need to be rude on this forum - you can get this software as well as most others from the Rational Download Ctr as I describe below. Might I suggest that you ask the right source before you criticize something you don't know about.

Hi Sammy,
In support of Pekka's frustration - IBM needs to improve it's website. I also find it very difficult to use compared with Telelogic's far simpler equivalent. Just too many rabbit holes to get lost down and too many mouse clicks just to do something simple. All we ask is that you feed this back to your management as I'm sure we are not Robinson Crusoe on this issue. Thanks.
