You should be able to insert a bookmark into an external link to an MS-Word document, and DOORS will open the document and jump to the bookmark. You should likewise be able to do so with a Hyperlink from Outlook to Word.
We cannot make these work. The document opens but stays at the top; if its already open it stays open but we get rude errors. Other folks with the same DOORS and Office versions (v9.2, Office-2007) can make it work. We suspect some Office-2007 or Sophos firewall/virus settings.
Any thoughts?
We have the right syntax: c:/Folder/Document.doc#BookMarkName.

Yes, there has been problems with those. IBM published this TechNote
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21323991
and there was also discussion in LinkedIn DOORS group. But nobody actually had any proposal how to correct this problem.

Yes, I saw the tech note, summarized: "we don't know and we don't care since we don't support Office-2007".
What is "LinkedIn DOORS group"?
