Due to an 'undocumented feature' in V9.2.0.3, we are being encouraged to upgrade to a later than 9.2.0.5 version of DOORS. I am thinking that maybe we should go for 9.3.0.4 as this will support our future plans for integration with RTC and RQM. Before I make the jump I'd just like to ask you all if there are any compelling reasons why I shouldn't go to 9.3.0.4 just yet ???? |
Re: 9.3.0.4 and Issues? You are "encouraged" to get a gasoline can lacking pin holes. I have crudely excercised v9304 and found nothing wrong, but I don't do a lot of tricky stuff.

Re: 9.3.0.4 and Issues? We, "in our corporate DOORS environment", are waiting for DOORS v9.3.0.5 which is rumored to be released this month Sept. 2011. REASON: we have been preparing to upgrade from DOORS v9.1.0.2 and had discovered an issue that is now indicated by IBM Support & Development as fixed in DOORS v9.3.0.5. The issue for us was that existing modules with any 32bit .emf windows enhanced metafile pictures would become invisible when exported to Word 2007 with DOORS v9.3.0.0 thru DOORS v9.3.0.4. As soon as they officially release the v9.3.0.5 patch, we are going to re-test our exports and then proceed with our upgrade after proving it works properly. Good Luck... gsdguy |
Re: 9.3.0.4 and Issues? SystemAdmin - Fri Sep 09 10:32:18 EDT 2011 A couple of important additional reasons for us to go to DOORS v9.3.0.5 is so we can begin implenting DWA 1.4.0.4 and also to get our DOORS client and server environment ready for Windows 7 upgrade in 2012. Staying on DOORS v9.1.0.2 while switching our desktop & server environments from Windows XP up to Windows 7 would require a special implementation of Windows 7 that we wish not to exercise. gsdguy |
