At Jazz.net, we put a lot of emphasis on building the Jazz community through events. In the past, we’ve notified you of upcoming events through a lengthy static list. In light of changes towards making the Jazz community more events focused, we’ve decided to redesign the events page to make events more discoverable, engaging, and social! So today, we’re excited to announce some big changes to events:

1. Browse events by month
2. View featured events
3. Do more (get directions, get social, and add to calendar)

A more in depth look at our changes:

1. Browse events by month

Events used to be browsed by past/upcoming, but now view them in a more relevant manner. Navigate through the months using the arrows and find out which events are in that month.

2. See featured events

The big events that you can’t miss out on are featured on the top of the events page – you can also see them on our home page and community page, so you’ll never miss another one!

3. Do more (get directions, get social, and add to calendar)

Now, events have their own page on Jazz.net. On each one is shown where each event is located, and directions are a click away. You can also tell your friends on Twitter or Facebook that you’re going (invite them as well!), and scheduling the event into your Google Calendar is a click away.
