A defect is a problem with the product that produces an incorrect or unexpected result, or causes the system to behave
in unintended ways. New functionality or enhancements should be recorded as a Story.
The following are the states for this work item type:

New – The defect is created; its disposition has not been determined.

In Development – The defect is actively being worked on. This includes fixing the defect and
developer testing.

In Test – The defect is being independently verified.

Resolved – The defect is closed. The resolution specifies its disposition.

Invalid – The defect is not valid.

Works for Me – Unable to reproduce.

Works as Designed – This is how it is supposed to work.

Duplicate – The defect is a duplicate of another defect. A link to the other defect should
be created.

Fixed – The defect was corrected.
-
Fixed Upstream – The defect was corrected as part of another change.
-
Reopened - The defect was previously resolved, but needs additional work.
