Download and follow the installation guide

Welcome to Rational Quality Manager 2.0.1 Milestone 2. This download is provided as a preview of the features to be delivered in version 2.0.1.

By default, this software is installed into a separate directory at C:\Program Files\IBM\RQM201 (Windows) and /opt/IBM/RQM201 (Linux). You do not need to uninstall any prior versions of the product. Do not install this software in a production environment.

Links are provided below to the public information center for version 2.0.0.1. A pre-release version of the 2.0.1 information center is also available at 2.0.1 pre-release.

To install Milestone 2, including the Rational Test Lab Manager component, follow these steps:

1. As a precautionary measure, back up your data from any previously installed versions if you want to preserve your data.
2. Download the zip files for Rational Quality Manager and Rational Test Lab Manager from the All Downloads tab. Refer to the Rational Quality Manager System Requirements before installing to make certain that your system meets or exceeds the minimum required configuration.
3. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file to a temporary directory.
4. Start the launchpad application located in the RQM_SETUP folder.
5. Follow the instructions in the Installation Guide. If version 2.x is already installed, you will see a warning that "Another version of this package is already installed." You can simply press Continue to continue with the installation. Do not try to use the Update or Modify features of Installation Manager.
6. Follow the instructions in either Tomcat upgrade or WebSphere upgrade if you want to migrate your data.
7. Download the Build Forge zip files if you plan to use Rational Test Lab Manager.

Optional: Download Rational Team Concert Client

Rational Team Concert is required for certain administrative tasks, such as updating reports.

Get the Standard Edition of  Rational Team Concert 2.0.0.2.

Optional: Download Rational Quality Manager Custom Reporting

Download Rational Quality Manager Custom Reporting from the 2.0.0.1 All Downloads tab. Follow the instructions in the Reporting section of the 2.0.0.1 Information Center.
