IBM Rational and its partners offer products that adhere to the Jazz Integration Architecture and deliver on Jazz objectives. Not every Jazz product implements every feature of the Jazz Integration Architecture - in fact, since the architecture itself is evolving, probably no product implements every aspect of the most recent specifications. In practice, this flexibility to mix versions and tolerance of different degrees of compliance is one of the greatest strengths of the Jazz Integration Architecture, in contrast to the rigidity and brittleness of traditional APIs that demand lockstep compliance. In the future, we may define different Jazz product compliance levels and certify products at these levels.

Over time, IBM expects to evolve many existing IBM products to leverage Jazz services, and create additional Jazz offerings to broaden and deepen the Jazz product portfolio.

Current Jazz offerings

Some Jazz offerings are built from the ground up using Jazz technology and developed right here at jazz.net. These Jazz offerings include:

• Rational Team Concert

  A collaborative work environment for developers, architects and project managers with unified work item, source control and build management, process management and iteration planning.

• Rational Quality Manager

  A web-based test management environment for quality professionals that provides a customizable solution for test planning, workflow control, tracking and reporting.

• Rational Requirements Composer

  A requirements definition solution with easy-to-use elicitation and definition capabilities that enable the refinement of business needs into unambiguous requirements.

• Rational Project Conductor

  A project and resource management system optimized for software and systems delivery, enabling project and program managers to plan, schedule, and staff projects, with the right resources working on the right tasks.
